History The football porgram at the University Of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) is considered one of the youngest football programs in all of the NCAA. Orginally a Divison II team who after being a power house was promoted to Divison I-A. The schools greatest team was in the 70's under coach Mike Thomas. The Stars on that team where Ickey Woods and Randall Cunningham, later the two made names for themselfs in the NFL.
